It very much depends on the nature of the development. Most frontend devs, and designer/devs probably use MacBooks. I am fullstack cloud dev working exclusively on FOSS projects where pretty much everyone is using Linux variants, mostly Ubuntu. Being based in London I like to use a local provider. I only use FOSS so Linux is a must. Likewise for everyone who does backend engineering.
